Snohomish Democrats - Details for the 2006 Snohomish County Democratic Party Convention

  This is an email reminder that Snohomish County Democratic Party Convention will be held in the main gym at Mariner H.S. in South Everett this Saturday, April 8th, 2006.   
   
  Registration starts at 9:00am, in the west entrance.  Sign-in is by Legislative District and by Precinct. You will receive an envelope with the rules, the agenda and platform and other goodies.
   
  Caucus meetings and tabling will be from 9:00am. The convention will convene at 10:00am.
   
  The business of the convention is for the Precinct Caucus Delegates and Precinct Committee Officers to review and vote on the 2006 Snohomish County Democratic Party Platform and any proposed Resolutions.   The platform and proposed resolutions will be available for review on our website at www.snohomishdemocrats.org on Thursday, April 6th, 2006. 
   
  Please submit last minute resolutions for consideration to Rebecca Wolfe at issues at snohomishdemocrats.org.  
   
  There is NO REGISTRATION FEE for the convention; however we are holding our ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DRIVE and we request that you contribute towards your 2006 Membership. 
   
  We suggest a contribution of $2, $12, $24, $48 (or more!)
   
  If you have paid already – you can do so online right now by clicking on the donkey! - your 2006 Membership Card will be in your packet.  
   
  If you don't get a chance to contribute online or by telephone to our office before the convention, you can find us at the Membership table all day!  You will be able to contribute by CHECK, CASH or CREDIT CARD and we have your Membership Card all ready for you!  Don’t be shy!  Only a few people have paid thus far for 2006 you won't be alone!
   
  PCOs who don’t pick up their cards at the Convention will be mailed post–convention.
   
  OTHER FUNDRAISNG ACTIVITIES:
   
  ·        Bring baked goods and/or buy baked goods for our BAKE SALE!  Proceeds from the bake sale should pay for the venue for the convention and give you something yummy to go with your coffee.  BYOCoffee.
   
  ·        ORDER YOUR LUNCH!  The Snohomish County Young Democrats will be providing boxed lunches from the Sno-Isle Food Co-op.  For $10.00 you have a healthy sandwich (turkey or hummus), blue corn chips and a piece of fruit (apple or orange).  Our office is ready to take your order at 425-252-2305 or Email contact at snohomishdemocrats.org. You will find a ticket for pre-ordered or pre-paid lunch in your packet.
   
  ·        Bring books or buy a book(s) at our BOOK SALE!  We all have great political treatises that we would like for everyone to read
 Or a wonderful children’s book
.  Bring your bag of books; and help us by laying yours out on the long table in the back hallway - spine up for our perusal.  There will be nice stickers to put in the inside cover for you to dedicate your offering.  Proceeds from the book sale go to support our Snohomish County Democrats Office is Everett.
   
  ·        BUMPER STICKERS and BUTTONS!  All of our buttons and our signature “D” bumper stickers are $2 a piece. However, we have a “Convention Special” of 20 “Flag” bumper stickers for $20.00!  The offer will not (likely) be repeated!
   
  ·        Water and cold drinks will be available for $1.00.
   
  We look forward to a very successful 2006 convention and our deepest gratitude for all who have made it possible!
