I'm forwarding this email to our general membership of the Snohomish County Democrats from Sarah Lorenzini of the Coordinated Campaign.

We have been working with her on her RAPID RESPONSE team to write Letters to the Editor these last months, since August.

And surprisingly, our Snohomish County Democrats Office has still been receiving a few calls from voters who are still actually worried about Democrats "raising taxes..." "being soft of terrorism..." "cutting and running..."

We all know that these are obvious ploys to play on voter's fear and bear no truth.

And we all know that the Democrats are indeed the Party of Hope and I know that it's up to YOU ALL to address these fears and articulate the Democratic Agenda to the public.

The ballots are out and it's Election Day today! Join Sarah Lorenzini and help put these fears to rest.

Please contact Sarah Lorenzini and mention that you are working for the Snohomish County Democrats RAPID RESPONSE team. Tell her that you will work to bring this election home these last 13 days!

  Corresponding Secretary

Subject: Helping the Democrats win on November 7th

Hello, my name is Sarah Lorenzini, and I am the press assistant for the Washington State Democrats Coordinated Campaign. You may have gotten an e-mail already calling for volunteers, but I wanted to let you know about another way you can help the Democrats win next month.

You can help the Democrats win in November by writing a Letter to the Editor. While phone banking and door belling can make a difference in this important election, you can also help support the Democratic vision through your local papers.

Writing a letter to the editor will not only let the newspapers know how you feel, but your voice will also be heard in your local community.
E-mail me at sarah at wa-democrats.org to join our Letter to the Editor Task force!

As we head into the last two weeks before the election, your help is needed more than ever. Our offices are filled with hardworking staffers, but we can’t do it alone, and with limited resources, we rely heavily on volunteers – the backbone of our party – for support.

We are contacting you now because of the great job you’ve done – and the huge difference you’ve made – in the past, during the current or previous campaigns. It’s because of you that we’re so well prepared for November 7. So please, do what you can to help ensure a Democratic win at the polls!

For more information, tips or to join our Letter to the Editor mailing list, e-mail me at sarah at wa-democrats.org.

Here are some tips for writing a successful letter to the editor

Keep your letter under 200 words. Keep your letter limited to one subject.
Many publications require you to include your home address, home phone, and work phone within the letter.
Papers are most likely to publish letters from local writers. We suggest sending your letter to your local paper(s) as well as either the Seattle Times or the Seattle Post-Intelligencer (for competitive reasons, the two papers prefer not to get the same letters).
  Thank you!
