  To our fellow Democrats - PCOs and General Members, 

  Here are the links for materials for review for the 1st Quarterly Meeting of Snohomish County Democratic Central Committee this Saturday at 1:00pm at the Snohomish School District Resource Center at 1604 Avenue D in Snohomish, WA.

  Please see our homepage for items on the agenda.  This page will be updated as materials are forwarded to me.  Agenda to be posted shortly!  Please print and bring your own copy of these materials to the meeting.  If you require a hard copy to be sent to you - please call our office at 425-252-2305 or email volunteer at snohomishdemocrats.org by 5:00pm Wednesday.  A limited supply of these copies will be available at the meeting.

  In the case that Resolutions are brought before the body from the floor....

  "In certain circumstances the Central Committee can vote on resolutions from the floor. To vote on the approval of a resolution at the same meeting where it is first proposed requires approval of amending the original resolution by the addition of an emergency clause. This emergency clause must pass by a two-thirds majority. The wording of the emergency clause must be substantially like the following:

  Be it further resolved that the Snohomish County Democratic Central Committee finds that this matter is of an urgent nature, and directs that the resolution be approved at the same meeting where the resolution was first proposed."

  I would further add that the presenter of any resolutions from the floor must provide 100 copies of the text of the resolution for the body.

  ADDITIONAL NOTES:

  Please also be advised that the SIGN-IN into the Central Committee meeting will be by County Council District.  If you need help determining your County Council District, please call our office at 425-252-2305.

  It is our standard practice to provide coffee, tea and water for the meeting.  We encourage you to bring and/or purchase BAKED GOODS (quiche sounds nice for lunch!) to cover the expense of the room rental for these meetings.  Please see our regular hosts; Laura Lewis, Caryl Trager or Kristine Petereit at this table.

  Please also be advised that the SIGN-IN into the Central Committee meeting will be by County Council District.  If you need help determining your County Council District, please call our office at 425-252-2305.

  We also encourage our membership to participate fully in the set up and tear down of the chairs and tables!  Get directions from Mark on the auditorium seating and Michele on the sign in set up.

  We are thrilled to be unveiling our NEW 2007 Snohomish County Democrats Membership Program and will be looking for your support in inviting others to join our Democratic organization.  For those who would like to make a financial contribution, Poppy Hanson and Rita Harrigan will be on hand to take your 2007 Membership Dues!

  REMINDER:  Mark has arranged for the second part of the meeting to be a chance to break out into our County Council Districts and discuss the campaigns and issues that are important to us.  Please be prepared for these discussions.  You are still welcome to call Mark directly with imput for this segment of the meeting.
