I envision a city that we can be proud to hand to our children and grandchildren - where they can live, work, shop, raise their families, and where they know their neighbors.
My priorities on the Edmonds City Council will include:

Fully fund our first responders. Our police, EMS, and Firefighters deserve working equipment and facilities. By making our first responders a priority, we make our own safety a priority.
I will promote wise stewardship of our natural resources. A healthy and clean environment is essential for a safe community. Edmonds is fortunate to have wetlands and parks, and it is our responsibility to ensure our children see the benefit of these public open spaces.
I will work to develop innovative transit solutions for our growing area. With new housing developments and increasing traffic congestion, we will need to explore additional transit options to preserve our unique way of life.

Thank you for supporting my campaign,

  Adrienne

FROM PEACE ACTION of WASHINGTON STATE
  Friends,

The Walk for Peace will be Thursday, July 5th through Sunday, July 8th. We'll walk during daylight hours.

Details of the route remain to be ironed out, but so far we have:

Thursday 5th: Woodinville, Bothell, Brier, Mount Lake Terrace, Lynnwood, Edmonds, and then north toward Everett.

Friday 6th: Everett, Marysville, and Arlington.

Saturday 7th: From Arlington south through Lake Stevens to Snohomish. Much of the route will be on the Centennial Trail.

Sunday 8th: Snohomish to Monroe, ending with a celebratory gathering. We'll walk on the shoulder of Hwy 2 early enough to avoid heavy traffic.

Please spread the word to anyone you know in towns along the route: this is a key to our success. If you can bring in a group you are connected to, even better.

I'm hoping enough people will volunteer to allow us to contact a wide range of local groups in each town along the route. If so, we can have locals new to the movement walking all along the way. Better yet, we'll leave behind a string of new-formed peace groups.

In addition to outreach, we need a graphic artist to create a new sign for the cart, some people to help with media outreach, and a few volunteers to help recruit walkers.

Please contact me to help out with any part of this work. If you have particular connections to any of the towns we're walking through (especially those without peace groups already), you can be particularly valuable.
