Subject: LAST 2 DAYS to Help Backbone Campaign Win $50,000 - Here's How...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Over 600 People Have Given! BUT The Competition is INTENSE A Win For Backbone this Thursday, Would Be A Victory For the Progressive Movement
GIVE Only $10 - Get one friend - AND Pass the Word TODAY ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You've probably heard the phrase "Give one, get one." Well our version is "Give once, Call one, and send to as many as possible."
A huge THANK YOU to the over 600 people who already answered our call for help. Time is running out, so here's what we ask. PLEASE give $10 by clicking here, if you have not already. THEN Call at least one person you can "GET" to give $10 as well. Then copy and send the text below to as many as possible.
The Backbone Campaign is still in the Top Ten competitors for the $50,000 Prize thanks to all who have taken the time to give so far! But the competition is REALLY stiff and we'll need to more than double our numbers in the next two days to win the $50,000 PRIZE.
If everyone who gives, gets at least one more person to give, we'll likely end the week with $50,000, and take the Procession for the Future across the country. We're eager to focus on that work and leave this fundraising behind. Help us make that possible.
PLEASE copy and paste the info below into an email to your networks, and call one friend to help through the process.
In Gratitude,
Bill Moyer
Backbone Campaign
PS- We are VERY grateful to the organizations such as Corporate Accountability, Organic Consumer's Association, Progressive Democrats of America, and Code Pink for doing their part to help.
Your $10 will help Backbone Campaign Win $50,000 - DEADLINE is Noon, Jan. 31.
Actor Kevin Bacon's SixDegrees.org is sponsoring a contest to see which four participating US charities can generate the most individual donations before Jan. 31. The top four each win a $50,000 Prize and Backbone Campaign in currently in 8th place.
Backbone would use the prize money to send their Procession for the Future around the country to inspire, educate and train thousands of activists, building visibility for hundreds of local organizations and help grow a national progressive movement that will thrive through and beyond 2008. In other words, if Backbone wins, we all win!
