Apologies for spamming

I replied to a request-to-post email this afternoon, saying it shouldn't
be forwarded to the general_annouce list.   Lo and behold, the
general_annouce list was in the cc's and as a result it went out. 
Sorry about that.  I'll delete that cc next time.

Here is the policy, defined last year by the Eboard:

1. General_announce is for a few items a year, so that no one considers
it spam.

2. It is used to announce SCDCC's general membership meetings and other
full-membership events.

3. During election cycles, it is used to annouce candidates' official 
kickoff meetings and websites.   If you are interested in more info,
contact the campaign to get on their mailing list.   General_annouce
will not be used for campaign news releases.   

However, if a candidate or surrogate comes to town for a speech, and
members might attend, we will annouce this.   Basically, this is for
presidential-level campaigns.

4. Similarly, it is used to announce a kickoff, website, or major event
on behalf of an issue we have formally endoorsed.  

PS:  If we win the WHitehouse in November, I'm gonna post something.
